Our member company ABP Induction Systems GmbH celebrated its 20th anniversary with its employees and their families, guests and partners on July 4, 2025. The ABP site in Dortmund harbor was transformed into a family-friendly celebration where history and a desire for the future came together.
ABP as an ambassador of Dortmund to the world – this is how Heike Marzen, Managing Director of the Dortmund Economic Development Agency, described the international orientation of our member and neighbor right at the beginning of the official ceremony.
Ernst-Peter Brasse, Managing Director of Business Associations for Dortmund and the surrounding area, also emphasized the loyalty to the location and the focus on the employees as important pillars of the company.
ABP was founded around 20 years ago from ABB’s Foundry business unit and is now a leading manufacturer of induction furnaces and systems for induction melting and heating for the metal industry and metalworking industry. The company is represented worldwide and impresses with high-quality, energy-efficient and reliable products as well as fast and comprehensive service.
Internationally active and yet down-to-earth, loyal to its location and innovative in its products: This is what distinguishes ABP and is emphasized in the welcoming speeches.
In the second part of the ceremony, ABP CEO Till Schreiter and ABP CFO Bernd Bartelheimer thanked the employees, because it is the people who make the difference at ABP. They represent the company’s values, live an open and uncomplicated corporate culture and, in addition to the use of innovative technologies and ABP’s innovative strength, are one of the main reasons for the company’s many years of success.
The successful past 20 years were then celebrated in style and there was everything for young and old, from a bouncy castle to face painting, a table football table, factory tours and lots of tasty treats from the pan, the oven, the grill, the waffle iron and the freezer.
We wish ABP and the entire ABP team at least 20 more successful years with many innovative and inspiring ideas and are proud and happy to live and work in close proximity to this member.
