NIRO gets reinforcement from a neighbor in the Port of Dortmund: Chemikalien-Gesellschaft Hans Lungmuß mbH & Co. KG from Dortmund, a specialist for innovative refractory products, is a new member

To kick off our AI journey, around 30 managers from member companies came together at Albrecht JUNG GmbH & Co. KG in Schalksmühle on February 4, 2025.
Making AI tangible and seeing and discussing current AI applications live in action in member companies – this is the thematic goal of the AI journey, which will take us to various member companies.

At the workshop on February 6, 2025, managers from various functional areas came together in our port area to deal with current issues relating to sustainability. Three interesting inputs provided the basis for the discussion.

In the workshop on January 29, 2025, 20 participants came together in our harbor room to learn more about the background and use of generative AI applications: It was about effective prompting with ChatGPT.

On December 11, 2024, around 20 managers from the area of sales forecasting in production met at the end of the “PrABCast” project (predictive sales and demand planning in customer-oriented contract manufacturing using machine learning methods) in our port room to learn about and discuss the most important results.
