In cooperation with the SIHK zu Hagen, we have been visiting interesting companies in the region as part of the “Made in Westphalia” series since 2024. On July 9, 2025, we visited BURG Lüling GmbH & Co. KG in Hagen and gained impressive insights into a company that has been making its customers’ everyday lives easier with security technology for 135 years.

Before the summer vacations, we stopped off at another member company on our AI journey: on 8 July 2025, we visited OBO Bettermann in Menden and addressed the question of how AI can be anchored in the company’s organization.

An important committee of the Dortmund Chamber of Industry and Commerce met at the Port of Dortmund on June 4, 2025: the Industry Committee discussed current topics and gained an insight into the current status of the area on Kanalstrasse, which will also be home to the industrial campus in the future.

Our member company ABP Induction Systems GmbH celebrated its 20th anniversary with its employees and their families, guests and partners on July 4, 2025. The ABP site in Dortmund harbor was transformed into a family-friendly celebration where history and a desire for the future came together.

When flyers for academy events become subjects: Then it was the hottest day of the year so far, when around 30 HR and training managers met for HR Day in our harbor room to think about the future of HR.

All good things come in threes: this time, our NIRO AI journey took us to our member company, VULKAN Kupplungs- und Getriebebau Bernhard Hackforth GmbH & Co KG in Herne. There, we exchanged experiences and explored the opportunities offered by the use of AI in product development.
