Membership
We invite manufacturing companies to shape the future together with us in the network.
There are various membership and partnership options in our network.
Membership status depends on the applicant’s type of business.
Ordinary members
Full members are manufacturing companies from the metal, mechanical engineering and industrial electronics sectors.
The following criteria apply to potential members for admission, which should be fulfilled as a prerequisite for achieving common goals in accordance with our Articles of Association:
- The number of employees must be at least 75. Exceptions are possible, for example for companies with specific innovation technologies.
- The company is no more than a 60-minute drive from our office in Dortmund.
- We follow the principle of exclusion of competition; this means that companies that are in direct competition with one of our member companies cannot normally be admitted. Exceptions can be made if the competing member expressly supports membership.
Meeting these basic criteria does not entitle a company to immediate admission to our network. In general, the final decision on a company’s membership lies with our Executive Board.
Supporting members and associated partners
Supporting members and associated partners must be willing and able to support and advise our association and our committees with their special expertise.
Membership fees
The General Meeting decides on the amount of the membership fees. Membership fees are due and payable annually in advance.
Would you like to join the NIRO network? We would be delighted.
Here you will find the documents that are important for your membership application (the application for membership, our articles of association, our membership fee regulations and our rules of the game).
