Dear friends, this year, which has been a year of great change for us, is drawing to a close.
We have been working in Dortmund Harbour for almost a year now and are delighted that you have virtually moved with us. After all, we have held most of our events in the port area. This is only possible if you move with us.
Thank you very much for that! We have made intensive use of our real new space, the Hafenraum: Workshops, seminars, working group meetings, information events, co-working days and, as a highlight of the year, a summer network meeting all took place there.
The focus of our networking work was and still is on community and exchanging ideas with others.
People play the main role in change and transformation processes. Personal encounters help us, move us forward and inspire us. They are valuable and indispensable.
At a time when new uncertainties, major and minor tasks and challenges dominate our everyday lives, it is particularly nice to feel a little “at home” in the network and to meet people who feel the same way. This is what we would like to offer you again and again in our three opportunity rooms “Working together”, “Sharing knowledge” and “Shopping together”. The topics are as complex and varied as the people who contribute them. Clear focal points of the past year: sustainability and artificial intelligence.
These topics will continue to accompany us in the coming year and we look forward to working with you to find further interfaces and nodes.
Spoiler: A new digital platform is coming for you… look forward to our NIRO app from February 2025. With the turn of the year, things are getting a little quieter, the job is not at the top of our to-do list.
From now on, you should be spending time with your loved ones, enjoying the scent of fir, cinnamon, vanilla and other seasonal fragrances, drinking mulled wine or something less sweet but warm, eating cookies, planning Christmas dinner, getting the last presents, looking less at your smartphone and simply doing things you don’t usually get to do. We wish you and your loved ones a peaceful, relaxing Christmas season and a good start to a healthy and happy New Year.
