New online lecture series with the CDL at TU Dortmund University

In cooperation with the CDL – Corporate Development Laboratory at TU Dortmund University, we are offering all members the opportunity to take part in the “CDL Ideas Lunchbox” lecture series from April 21, 2026. Four dates have already been set.

From the end of April, we will be cooperating with the “CDL – Corporate Development Laboratory” at TU Dortmund University as part of a series of lectures. The CDL is a department at TU Dortmund University that has set itself the goal of building bridges between manufacturing companies from the region and professors at TU Dortmund University and the University Alliance Ruhr.
Under the motto “Impulses from science for business” and “Impulses from business for science”, the CDL organizes the “CDL Ideas Lunchbox”, among other things.
These are individual online lectures given by scientists at lunchtime from 12 noon to 1 p.m., who present projects and methods from research in a compact form in order to provide managers from different functional areas with suggestions and ideas for day-to-day business and corporate development and to reflect on these together.

Four dates have been set for the coming months.
On April 21, 2026, Katharina Langenbach, M. Sc., Department of IT in Production and Logistics, and Dr.-Ing. Hendrik van der Valk, Chair of Industrial Information Management, both TU Dortmund University, will speak on the topic “Excel, experience, bottleneck – why your data does not yet support decisions in production planning and control”.
On May 19, 2026, Frederik Poth, Project Manager AICE.NRW – Focus Center AI.NRW, Center for Entrepreneurship & Transfer (cet), TU Dortmund University, will tell you more about “Identifying Market Opportunities & Tapping AI Potential – Systematic Strategies for SMEs”.
The third part of the series on June 22, 2026 on the topic “Hard heads live longer – new methods in materials technology” will be held by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Tillmann, Chair of Materials Technology, TU Dortmund University.
On July 14, 2026, you will learn more about “Scaling international B2B Sales: Sales processes as a foundation” from Dr. Holger Jentsch, Executive Vice President Sales EMEA, KROHNE Group, Ruhr University Bochum, University of St. Gallen.
