NIRO: Mr. Schellenberg, welcome as a new member of the Industrie RuhrOst network!
Your company is now joining our network. What convinced you to become a member of NIRO?
Carsten Schellenberg: As a family-run industrial company based in Dortmund, the exchange of ideas in the region is very important to us.
NIRO offers exactly the right platform for industrial companies to network with each other, share experiences and learn from each other.
We see great potential here to tackle issues together and exploit synergies.
NIRO: Which topics are particularly topical in your company? Which issues would you like to find out more about in our network?
Carsten Schellenberg: We are currently focusing in particular on best practices in indirect purchasing and dealing with economic and geopolitical uncertainties.
Many procurement markets are increasingly volatile and require a combination of forward-looking planning and the ability to react quickly.
We hope that the network will provide us with practical insights and an exchange of experience at eye level.
NIRO: As a regional network, NIRO promotes good relationships between its members. Could your company’s products or services also be of interest to other members?
Carsten Schellenberg: Dolezych has been passionately supporting companies with safe lifting and transportation for over 90 years. Our broad portfolio of products and customer-specific solutions is relevant for many companies and therefore also for many NIRO members. There are many points of contact within the network, particularly in the areas of load securing, lifting technology, slings and load handling attachments as well as testing, maintenance and services.
NIRO: What challenges are you currently facing? What issues could the network help you with?
Carsten Schellenberg: We currently see a central challenge in the sensible implementation of AI–Lösolutions in everyday working life. The network can make an important contribution here by sharing practical experience, concrete applications and äThe project also highlights lessons learned from other industrial companies.
The exchange with companies facing similar issues is particularly valuable during the transition from pilot projects to everyday production.
NIRO: We offer our members different spaces: “Sharing knowledge”, “Working together” and “Shopping together”. In which space are we most likely to meet you?
Carsten Schellenberg: You will find us most frequently in the “Sharing knowledge” and “Working together” areas. The “Buying together” area is also interesting if it results in sustainable and economically viable approaches.
